Here at Agua Construction we only build saltwater pools as we feel this is the better option, but it’s important for you to know why.

Gentler on skin and hair

Easy to balance salinity
Self-maintains water balance for up to two weeks

Cons

Installation cost is higher
Electricity use is higher
Requires professionals for repairs
Still requires periodic shocking
Salt cells need cleaning at least twice per year
Requires more equipment

Higher concentration of chlorine
Harsh on skin and hair
Storage of hazardous chemicals required
Higher daily running expenses
More frequent monitoring of water quality required
Requires shocking ever 1-2 weeks
Weekly adding of chlorine required
Additional chemicals required to achieve balanced water
