Most seawall contractors are going to implement black steel rebar in your seawall. Black steel rebar has a lifespan of 12-15 years max in saltwater conditions. This is why they usually only offer a 10 year warranty.
At Agua Construction we stand apart from all other contractors! Our seawalls are in a class of their own. We are the first to offer state-of-the-art Century Seawalls in the North Central Florida area.
Century Seawalls are a “non-steel” based seawall that uses fiberglass as the main cap supports instead of steel rebar. Fiberglass is anti-corrosive and has a lifespan of 100 years (even in saltwater conditions).
Our Century Seawalls also use 1″ 316 stainless steel tiebacks instead of black steel rebar. Our stainless steel tiebacks have a lifespan of over 100 years in saltwater conditions.
